Who we are

Nikki is an electrologist and professional who graduated from the Monterey Bay Institute of Electrology (MBIE). At this school she was personally taught by Randa Thurman, Vice President of the American Electrology Association.

By founding Neko Electrology, Nikki aims to better people’s lives, helping them feel more at home in their own skin by removing unwanted hair. Before becoming an electrologist, she worked in blood donation at Vitalant (formerly Blood Source). She also worked in marketing for dental companies in the US, as well as in China and in the UK.

Heather is an electrologist who also graduated from MBIE. Heather is enthusiastic about joining Neko Electrology, because it allows her to do work that directly improves the lives of others, including individuals the LGBTQ community. This career fits with Heather’s prior history of pursuing careers that aim to assist underrepresented groups.

Her background includes working for the state as a researcher for Covered California, and obtaining a PhD from UC Davis in social psychology with a focus on reducing stereotyping and prejudice.
