Our Services

Customized For You

Everyone’s skin and hair type is unique, your treatment should be too! At Neko Electrology we customize our treatment around what your body needs and not into one size fits all package. Sessions are often booked from one to two hours in length. This will be determined during your initial consultation and adjusted as needed.

In your initial consultation, we’ll assess your hair and work with you for what will give you the best results possible. The first thirty minutes will be free for an initial consultation. After which any work will be billed.

Unwanted hair can sprout up in many places. We offer removal primarily from the following areas of the body:

  • Face — This is a large area which includes:

    • Beards — from stray chin hairs to full beards

    • Mustache

    • Eyebrows

  • Underarms

  • Bikini area

  • Transgender/Surgery Prep — Includes genital hair removal for trans women to skin graft hair removal for trans men.

Clients should expect that all hair removal, electrology included, takes time. Clients should expect to come back at regular intervals to ensure optimal results until hair is fully removed.

The time required for electrology treatments varies depending on several factors, including the treatment area, hair density, hair growth cycle, and individual goals. All individuals are different, and your consultation will help us determine what is right for you. However, below is some of what you might expect based on other’s past results.

Factors Affecting Treatment Time

  1. Size of the Treatment Area:

    • Small areas (e.g., upper lip, chin): 30 minutes to an hour per session.

    • Medium areas (e.g., underarms, bikini line): An hour or two per session.

    • Large areas such as face. An hour or two per session.

  2. Hair Density:

    • Denser hair requires more time to treat since each follicle must be addressed individually.

  3. Hair Growth Cycles:

    • Hair grows in three stages: anagen (growth), catagen (transition), and telogen (resting).

    • Only hairs in the anagen phase can be effectively treated, so multiple sessions are necessary to target all follicles as they enter this phase.

  4. Treatment Tolerance:

    • Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or biweekly, depending on the individual's tolerance and the electrologist’s recommendations.

Typical Timeline

  • Initial Phase:

    • Weekly or biweekly treatments are common initially.

  • Maintenance Phase:

    • Once most of the hair has been permanently removed, touch-ups may be required every few weeks or months to address new or finer hair.

Total Duration

  • Small areas: A few months of regular treatments.

  • Larger areas: 1–3 years of regular treatments, depending on hair growth and individual factors.

Key Points

  • Each session's length and frequency will depend on your progress and the electrologist's evaluation.

  • Consistency is crucial for achieving permanent results.

  • Your electrologist can provide a more accurate timeline based on your specific needs during your consultation and throughout treatment.
